1. Start with what is on your mind
Work stress, a breakup, pressure from home, money, or just a heaviness you cannot name. You do not have to have it figured out. Picking a topic only helps us show you listeners who are comfortable with it.
2. Choose someone you could open up to
Filter by language, age, gender and city. Every listener applied with a live selfie and a short video, and was approved by a person on our team. You see their first name and one line about them. They see the nickname you choose. Nothing else.
3. Talk in minutes, or pick a time
30 or 60 minutes. If your listener is online, you can be talking almost immediately. If not, book a slot from their calendar. You pay through Razorpay before the conversation is confirmed, and only for that one conversation.
4. Say the whole thing
A private room opens in your browser. Nothing to install, no phone numbers exchanged, nothing recorded. Video stays off unless you want it on. The room exists only for this conversation and closes when you are done.
5. Rate them, or report them
One tap to rate. Ratings help the next person choose, and they keep listeners kind and reliable. If something felt wrong, report it from your dashboard and a human on our team reads it the same day.
What a listener will and will not do
A listener listens. They let you finish. They ask a gentle question now and then. They do not give advice unless you ask, and they never tell you what you should have done. They are not therapists, and FeelingsOut is not a replacement for professional care. If a listener thinks you would be better off with a professional, they will say so, kindly, and point you to one.
